AROMATHERAPY
Aromatherapy is Pure essences from aromatic plants and are natures gift to the human body and spirit.
Their heady scents and health - giving properties have been prized since antiquity. Ancient Egyptians commonly used aromatic oils for both beauty preparations and sun protection. The origin of aromatics is too ancient to indentify though it can be traced to the most distant civilisations. As early as 4500 BC a Chinese Emperor recorded what he believed to be medicinal properties of certain plants.
Aromatherapy is the modern interpretation of this venerable practice. It uses pure " essential oils" derived from plants, to soothe ailments and promote good health and a sense of wellbeing. Understanding the therapeutic advantages of aromatherapy, sometimes requires more diligence. Aromatherapy promotes better digestion, better skin, and generally better health. Aromas have a strong psychological influence over us.Our accute sense of smell is one of the most subtle ways of communication, aromas are also an intriguing aspect of evoking not only imagery but emotions felt at a particular time ( which has proved to be a strong connection between limbic system of the brain.)
Stress plays a major factor in our modern lifesyles, which causes disablilities and illnesses such as a slow down or shut down of the digestive system, depression ,insomnia, lowered immune system function, rising blood pressure, thickening of the blood, reduced insulin activity and increased cholesterol. Aromatherapy can encourage a reversal of these cycles by applying or inhaling appropiate essential oils, influencing the limbic system to bring about a state of relaxation and wellbeing.
A holistic approach to good health is, of course ideal. Similarly when properly applied, aromatherapy is most effective when the subject is treated as a complete and unique being, rather than a collection of disconnected parts or problems.
there are general safety precautions and dosages in particular pregnant woman and babies warrant special attention. We recommend you seek professional advise from a qualified practioner .
